Easter Bunny

Ryan got a haircut. It was the first one with out any tears or bribing with a lollipop so I asked her to cut it a little short so we could stretch this one out a while. He looks so handsome!

Today was our neighborhood Spring Fling. We made a quick appearance to see the Easter Bunny and watch our good friend Courtney's cheer squad perform before we put Ryan down for a late nap. Ryan hated the Easter Bunny as much as he hated Santa. You will see the evidence below.

Ryan's Friends

Some friends had a BBQ this weekend and many of Ryan's buddies were there. We had to capture some pictures of them. If you look back throughout our blog you will see pictures of these adorable children since birth. Ryan is so lucky to have a large group of friends at such a young age. A couple of kiddos were missing as they had previous plans that evening. Rob and I love that we have such a great group of friends in the neighborhood with kids in the same age range. Now if only another family would have baby #2 as well....

Leila, Grant, Cole, Ryan, Carter, and Mason

Ryan looks miserable, but he really wasn't. He had just leaned in for the hug. Leila and Ryan really like each other.

Sadly, Leila and her family recently moved an hour away. We still see them, but not as often as we did. This picture is priceless. Looks like they are catching up on what's been going on in their lives.

Thanks for the pictures Laurie!!

First Sleep Over

Last weekend Ryan had his first sleep over at his Grammy's house. It was actually his first sleep over with out us at another house. Of course he did great and had a wonderful time. I think Grammy had just as much, if not more, fun. She documented the night with the pictures below.

Snack time!

Coloring

He got into Grammy's makeup and started to apply it. She said he knew what to do with several different types of makeup. I think he must pay attention when I apply mine in the morning (he is not allowed to play with my makeup). Daddy was not that happy about these pictures, but I think they are so cute.

He LOVES to help with the laundry. It looks like Grammy put him to work!

Bath time in the big tub!

I hope Lillian gets those eyelashes!

Mr. Independent has to brush his own teeth

Story time!

The next morning. Waiting for her to put on a little Elmo.

Lillian update

At my last doctor's appointment we discussed April 6th as being my induction date (born on the 7th) if Lillian hasn't arrived by then. She has made her way "very far" down and is in great position to be born. I've been having a lot of contractions and conditions are favorable for her arrival. We are getting very excited to meet her. I am increasingly uncomfortable these days, more so than with Ryan, so her arrival also means some relief for me. My doctor keeps telling me to "take it easy" and to "rest". I think he forgot what it is like to have a 21 month old. Rob has been great and completely takes over when he gets home, so i can relax some. Ryan is getting really attached to Rob. I think he knows something is going on, plus I can't do as much with him as I normally do. We are still maintaining his schedule (play dates, school, classes, park time, zoo, playtime with friends, etc) b/c I think it is very important for him. Not to mention he has a great time doing everything that we do together!

April 6th is only 12 days away......stay tuned!

Testing out our double stroller

This morning Ryan's friend, Sophie, came over for a bit while her mom had to work. The weather is perfect for a walk so I decided to test out our double jog stoller with 2 kids. They were so cute in the stroller together and were very chatty with one another. They even played footsie. It was adorable.

Ryan still loves bubbles

Play Time

We had some friends over Friday afternoon for some outdoor fun. We played with play doh and colors, then put shaving cream all over the picnic table for the kids to get messy in. The only ones that really got into it was Eva and Grant. Ryan and Mason didn't want to get messy.

Zoo Fun

On Wednesday we went to the zoo with some friends. The weather was amazing and the kids had a blast! It was really great to see Ryan connect the real animal with what he has learned from books and pictures. He seemed very fascinated with them all. We also rode the carousal for the first time. Ryan is so cautious (like his Daddy) so I wasn't sure that he would like the up and down action paired with the round and round, but much to my surprise, he loved it!!!! Can't wait to go back really soon.
