Big Brother, Little Sister

Ryan is continuing to adjust to his little sister. He goes from being super sweet to her to throwing fits when he isn't getting attention from whoever has Lillian. Overall I think he is adjusting well. His Auntie Ella has been in town, so I think he is not only getting used to Lilly, but now dealing with Ella being gone.
Lilly continues to be a great baby. She is sleeping 3-31/2 hours at a time and eats like a little champ. Her umbilical cord fell off today. We are looking forward to giving her a bath in her little tub. I hope that she likes it as much as Ryan did. She is proving to be pretty laid back, until she is hungry. Here are some new pictures of the 2 kiddos.

Bye Bye Daddy

Every day when Daddy leaves for work Ryan watches out of the window as he drives away. He yells "Bye bye Daddy" and waves to him.

New Update

We have been home from the hospital for 4 days now and things are a little hectic around the Reckers' house. Lillian is a great sleeper and eater, she just doesn't sleep as much at night as she does during the day (that leaves for a very tired mom and dad). Hopefully that will change soon. She is a pretty content baby and likes to be held. She loves being outside and can sleep through anything, including her big brother screaming and playing.

Ryan is adjusting really well to having a little sister. Occasionally he gets a little jealous, but I think he realizes that she isn't going anywhere. He always asks where the baby is and has his eye on her all of the time. He loves kissing her and touching her. So far he has been very gentle.

Here are some pictures that we took in the hospital and a few after we got home. It seems like I don't have time to take a lot of pictures of her, let alone post a blog. I promise I will take more pictures soon, but can't promise they will be posted soon.

Thank you to everyone for their well wishes and thoughts. We feel so lucky to have so much support.

Our Sweet Little Girl

Here are some more pictures of our sweet baby girl. My dear friend Lauren, http://www.imagesbystudios.com/, came up to the hospital to snap some pictures of her for us. They turened out so sweet. Thank you so much Lauren!!!

We are headed home today and are looking forward to it very much.

Lillian Claire Reckers

We are so excited to announce that our daughter, Lillian Claire Reckers, was born April, 7, 2010 at 12:51 pm. She is 6 lbs 7 ozs and 19 1/2 inches long and looks so much like Ryan when he was born (just girly). So far she seems like she has a sweet disposition and cries when she is hungry or dirty. She has a little squeal that she lets out occasionally to let us know she is here. Her features seem so petite. Se is just perfect and we can't wait to have everyone meet her!

Easter

Easter this year was a lot of fun! Ryan's Auntie Ella flew in for a business trip so she was able to spend another Easter with us. On Saturday we dyed and attempted to decorate eggs with Ryan, but it didn't turn out very well. I didn't think he was old enough for the dye, so Ella and I colored the eggs, let them dry, then gave Ryan some stickers to decorate them with. Well the stickers didn't stick to the eggs, and he was trying to eat the eggs. So before we had a complete disaster on our hands, we cleaned him up and decided that maybe next year he will be old enough to help. On Sunday, Ryan decided to sleep in extra late. When we finally woke him up, he had a ton of Easter baskets and presents to sort though. He loved everything the Bunny brought! His Grandparents were also very generous (like always). My mom, brother, sister in law, and nephews all came over for more baskets, brunch, and a super fun Easter Egg hunt. Ryan seemed to enjoy himself quite a bit!

A few times this weekend we thought that Lillian might have been an Easter baby, but it was all just false alarms. We look forward to Lillian being with us next year on Easter though!

Stickers make everything fun, even though they didn't stick to the eggs.

Thank goodness the dye is toxin free. Check out his blue mouth.

The Easter Bunny came!!

These eggs have surprises in them!

The following t-ball pictures are for Uncle Jonathan. I hope these are along the lines of what you expect from your nephew!
