More teeth and silly smiles
Ryan's teeth are getting bigger and bigger. There aren't any signs of his upper teeth coming in yet. (excuse his runny nose, we think he has some allergies). He also has a new adorable smile. I captured it in the last picture. He gets so tickled over the smallest things. For example, when I wear a hat, he thinks it is funny if the brim of the hat brushes his head. Or when Ralphie drinks water, he will giggle. Sometimes he will crack up and I have no clue what it is over. He is so funny to watch.

Eating and sippy cup
Well Ryan is eating more and more bite sized food. Cheese, bread, puffed baby snacks, crackers, etc are some of his favorites. We are going to try scrambled egg in the next week. He is getting really good at feeding himself. He resisted the sippy cup for a while and would only drink from a bottle or a regular cup, like you or I. But I am encouraging the sippy cup some so when we are on the go he can have it to drink from. He is definitely getting the hang of it, but sometimes thinks it is a toy.

Ryan helping with laundry
Anyone that knows me, knows that I don't like to do laundry. Well let me clarify, I don't mind sorting and washing the clothes, but I hate folding them. I am trying to teach Ryan how to fold clothes so I no longer have to do it. So far all I get is commando baby climbing in his hamper or him pulling out all of the folded clothes and throwing them on the floor. I have a feeling he isn't a fan of it either. As he was climbing in the hamper both of these times I ran to get the camera but I was only able to get a picture of him after he was in.

BBQ
We hosted a BBQ for our friends this weekend, and most of Ryan's buddies were in attendance. The babies played a ton while all of the parents ate delicious fajitas that Rob grilled and drank margaritas. It was such a fun evening and we are so glad that everyone could make it! All of the pictures are of the babies, but I assure you the adults were having a good time as well!! Thanks for the pictures Laurie!

Kylie and Leila racing.
Courtney and Kendall Tillery have arrived!
My best friend, Lori, had her sweet little girls yesterday. Courtney and Kendall are doing very well and they are so beautiful! I am very excited for Lori and Jeff, and look forward to many play dates with the Tillery family. Rob and I will never forget their birthday as they were born on the anniversary of our first date!

Teeth!!!
Ryan's teeth have arrived!! His two bottom teeth have come in simultaneously. It didn't really seem to bother him too much. He didn't get any of the classic symptoms, except a brief runny nose and the drool, of course. He did want a pacifier a little more over the past week but he never had a sleepless night or anything. Here is a picture of his two little teeth. Of course they have just broken through and in person you can see them much clearer. It is very difficult to get a picture. This is the best that I was able to do. I will work on getting more pictures as his teeth get more and more pronounced.

Here is a better picture I captured after lunch.
St. Patrick's Day
Here are some pictures of Grant and Ryan "playing" on St. Patrick's day. Grant is now 4 months old and is really talking and moving around. His mom, Erica, and I went for a long walk then let the kiddos play for a bit. Grant and Ryan were "talking" to each other, and Ryan was quite impressed with Grant's rolling over skills. I think Ryan is going to start showing him how to crawl really soon. I couldn't take many pictures, because Ryan decided he was going to try to poke Grant's eyes out and/or shove his hand in Grant's mouth. But here are a few of them anyway.

Books with babies
Ryan loves to read books, especially with ones that have a picture of another baby. If I flip to a page with a picture of a baby he will pull the book to himself, make a little giggle sound, and kiss the baby. Most of the books with babies are learning books, and each page will have many pictures on it. It never fails that he will find the baby right away and start kissing it.

A visit to the park
The weather has been really nice so we have spent a lot of time outside. Today we decided to take Ryan to the park again. I brought along my camera and captured some great pictures of him playing. I can't wait until he can go down the slide on his own, but in the mean time he is really enjoying the swing and just being outside. He loves the way grass feels underneath him too. When he sits in the grass he wiggles all around to feel it move under his legs. It is pretty cute.

Spring is here and Ryan loves to be outside!
Ryan is really starting to babble more and more. "Da-da " is still his favorite word, but now we have the b's, the g's, and occasionally the m's down. He will chat up a storm, especially in the morning. Ryan eats 3 meals a day and has 3 bottles. He is still sleeping great and we rarely have to get up with him if he wakes up during the night. I weighed him the other day and he is about 20 lbs. My back can definitely tell! He is really fun right now and loves to have one of us playing with him. His is ALL over the house and when we leave the room, even for a split second, he gets very upset. Definitely has some separation issues, but from what I read, it is very common for this age. I signed him up for Gymboree classes last week. We went to 1 class to check it out and he loved it. So once a week we will be attending the "play and learn" class. It also appears that he is finally getting some teeth buds. Not sure how long it will take for the teeth to break through, but I bet in the next month we will have 2 little pearly whites! It is really hard to believe that he is 8 1/2 months old! We will be planning his first birthday party before we know it!
Here are some recent pictures of our little buddy!
