I Can Brush My Own Hair

Ryan Dancing

After a long "snow/ice" day inside- we exhausted all of our toys, dragged everything out of the toy box, played crafts, read books, played on Daddy's Ipad, we finished that night with some dancing.  Ryan changed the channel on our music stations until he found the perfect song to dance to. Check it out.

Lillian in Red

Lillian is almost 10 months old.  I can't believe that I am starting to plan her 1st birthday party.  She continues to be so sweet and so much fun.  She says "mama", "dada", "teeti" (for Auntie), and "dog" (dah!").  She is close to saying baby and I am trying to teach her "brother" or Ryan" but she just squeals in delight when she sees him, so I don't think she is paying any attention to me when I try to teach her.  She points to everything she is curious about, which makes teaching her things, much easier! She hates to be fussed with - like having her face wiped, or putting clothes on, diaper changes, etc.  She loves to cuddle and be a part of the fun.  She will follow Ryan everywhere and she wants to play with him all of the time.  She puts everything in her mouth.  Ryan didn't get into things like she does, she will find the smallest thing on the floor and go right for it and put it right in her mouth.  I have to be super careful about that.  I usually put all of the small parts to Ryan's toys away, so they aren't even around for her to eat.  She still doesn't have any teeth but loves to eat real food.  She loves cheese, chicken, veggies, crackers, goldfish, and anything salty!  She does eat fruit but seems to prefer the salty foods.  I just signed her up for Gymboree so we will be going on Thursdays while Ryan is in school.  I hope she likes it as much as Ryan does!

Lillian loves to look at herself in a mirror. When I shower, I always put a mirror on the floor of our bathroom for her to look at to keep her occupied.  I decided to let her play with couple of mirrors and got my camera out for some really cute pictures.  She will point to herself and try to say "baby" (it sounds more like "bubu").  She loves to stick her tongue out and make little faces at herself too.  The last picture she is kissing herself in the mirror.
