Ryan is Three!

Happy Birthday sweet son!  I can not believe that it has been 3 short years since you made me a mom.  You are the light of my life and such a joy!  I love being your mom so much.  You are such an amazing child.  You continue to charm almost everyone you are around.  You play so well with your friends, cousins, and sister.  You share so well, take turns, and are very considerate of other's needs.  You have such a big imagination and I love to watch you play.  The things you come up with both amaze me and crack me up.  I love when you pretend one toy is something entirely different, for example, your play screwdriver is a piece of food or a phone.  You will make your toy what you want rather than finding the actual thing.  You love to hug and kiss your sister and you are always so happy to see her.  You love to get her up in the morning and from her nap.  You are always so concerned if she is crying and you tell me when she has a dirty diaper.  I love how you help me change her diaper and are always worried if she has diaper rash and if she needs diaper cream.  You continue to surprise me with your wealth of knowledge.  Your newest interest is telling time and you are getting pretty good at it.  You have also started reading some basic words, and are sounding others out trying to read.  You also love to sing, but get a little shy if you don't know all of the words to a song.  Sometimes you make up words to a tune you already know.  I love it!  I love your laugh and your ability to crack a smile at most situations.  You still love books and to be tickled.  You finally like to watch tv.  Your favorite shows are Super Why and World Word.  I love to watch your personality develop.  You are so much like your daddy, strong willed, smart, cautious, kind, considerate, funny, witty, stubborn, and polite. 
I am so proud of you, Ryan.  I am so proud of who you are.  And I am so proud to even know you, let alone be your mom.  I love you to the moon and back, sweet son.

Family Pictures - Sneak Peek

I won a free photography session and some free pictures for a mother's day special.  I was so excited to have won something, especially pictures.  Anyone who knows me, knows I love pictures, especially of my family.  We decided to use the package this weekend in old downtown Katy.  I love the way they turned out.  The backgrounds mixed with our bight colors just made for really great pictures.  As most of you know, my beloved photographer and friend, Lauren, moved to Nashville recently, so I am forced to use other photographers.  Miss you Lauren!
