The Sweetest Thing....

We were outside playing tonight and Ryan picked this flower and gave it to me. It was not prompted and so innocently sweet. I hope it isn't the last time he picks a flower for me.

Gymboree Halloween Party

Tonight was Ryan's Gymboree Halloween Party. To say Ryan had an ok time would be an over statement. He pretty much hated every second of being there. There were more people than normal and everyone was dressed up, so I am not sure if either played a role. We left early as it was evident that staying was just torture for Ryan. Here are a few pictures we got prior to the meltdown.

He is absolutely miserable here.

Despite his love for Gymbo the Clown, it still wouldn't bring a smile to his face.

Snack time calmed him down briefly. Until the last 1/2 of his cookie fell on the floor and we had to throw it away.

Leila was trying to give him a hug to make him feel better.

Cuteness

Ryan's "moonwalk" (walking backwards)

Check out this sticker. He wore it the entire day and would show it off to new people or when asked "where's your sticker?"

Oh Ryan....

Ryan got a hold of a tissue box. He certainly had a good time.

Morning at the Park

Ryan didn't wake up until 9:00 this morning. I guess his party wore him out! Since it is such a beautiful day out, we decided after breakfast to walk to the playground at the elementary school to let Ryan play. Little did I know that Rob would be playing just as hard, if not harder, on the basketball court. Ryan loved watching his daddy play basketball and was carry his own basketball around just like daddy. Needless to say he had a blast, like he always does at a park.

Watching his daddy

Can't get enough of daddy

Since it is an elementary school, they don't have a baby swing, but they do have this handicap swing that worked perfectly for Ryan!

Ralphie had fun too!

The school has a butterfly garden in memory of a little boy. It is a really nice little area, especially for a photo opportunity. Can't believe he is posing for a picture with a bit of a smile!

Time to go

Ryan's Halloween Party

Ryan hosted his first Halloween party last night and it was a blast! It is funny how quickly parties with little toddlers and babies can become so chaotic. All of the babies are mobile so it was really fun watching them scoot, walk , and run about the house and backyard. At one point we decided to get a picture of all of the kids in their costumes. As you can see below it didn't work out at all. It was hysterical to watch them all run or crawl away. There were lots of tears, one baby fell off the bench, Ryan wouldn't go near the group longer than 5 seconds, and we never got the group shot that we were hoping for. We needed a video camera to capture it live. But over all I think everyone had a blast!!

I love his face in this picture

Another Pumpkin Patch

This week Ryan's playgroup was at a pumpkin patch. St. Catherine's Episcopal Church of Sienna is hosting this adorable pumpkin patch and allowed us to schedule a story time, snack time, and lots of fun and games for our play group. The kids had a blast while the mom's snapped a ton of pictures. Each kiddo got to take home a little pumpkin as well as some goodies. It was really fun and I am glad that we had the opportunity to participate.
