Lillian's Roon
Here are some long awaited photos of Lillian's room. We are still waiting on a beautiful white iron coat rack for the far corner of her room. It will be used to hang her cute tu-tu's that her Auntie Ella bought for her plus anything else adorable that needs to be displayed. We still have a couple of things for her walls that have yet to be hung, but the majority is done! A huge thanks to my mom for all of her help shopping, painting, and decorating. Also, thanks to my brother for his help with painting.

Mommy
Here I am with 8 weeks left until Lillian's due date. I am posting the bottom picture for some friends who have requested the typical belly shot. I am much bigger with her than I was with Ryan at this point even though my weight gain is the same. But I guess second pregnancies are typically like that. Ryan was headed to school for his Valentines Day party so he had to wear his Valentines Day shirt, of course. It actually should read "My Grammy is my Valentine" as she is staying with him all weekend long while Rob and I have a much needed weekend away. Thanks mom!!!

Valentines Day Cookies
I decided to bake and decorate some Valentines Day cookies with Ryan this year and we invited Grammy, Aunt Amy, and Ryan's cousins, Jack and James over to help. Jack was way into all of Ryan's toys and didn't want to stop playing to decorate, so the rest of us picked up the slack. It was a really fun afternoon and as you can see, Ryan initially thought it was a craft project, then soon realized it was sugar and candy that we were "painting" with. I have no idea how much Ryan actually ate, and that is probably a good thing. If his wicked crazy sugar high was any indication, he had a lot! It was quite funny to watch. This was Ryan's first cookie decorating experience and knowing his Grammy it is far from his last!

Such a great helper...
Ryan is the best little helper. He wants to do everything that we do and typically does it well and right. We have been preparing Lillian's nursery which involves painting. We gave him a dry brush and he went to town on the walls. One day we were in her nursery touching up paint and he climbed to the top of a 6 ft ladder to reach the top of the wall like his Grammy. It gave me a heart attack. He also likes to throw all garbage away. If we tell him anything is "yucky", it goes straight into the garbage. He also likes to help me clean, put the clothes in the dryer, wipe his own nose and face, load the dish washer, brush his teeth, and anything that he thinks he can do on his own. His one little chore that is sort of his responsibility is feeding Ralphie and giving Ralphie bones and treats. He loves it and does a great job. He carries the little cup of food with both hands to his bowl and dumps it right in. Ralphie is very patient and will eat all of the spilled food off the floor when Ryan misses.
Kitchen
We bought this play kitchen from a family in our neighborhood and Ryan really likes to play with it. It is so much fun to watch his imagination go wild when he plays with everything. He will make a fake water noise when he pretends to turn the faucet on. He also cooks his play food with a spatula. He will pour pretend water into cups so we can each have a drink. It is adorable and I love being his little sous-chef. Ryan's cousins were over last night and they were all playing kitchen. His cousins are 4 and 2 1/2 so I have a feeling Ryan will get a lot of use out of this kitchen.
