Ryan's Birthday

Ryan's birthday was a day of fun.  We started out the day with our tradition of waking Ryan up singing Happy Birthday.  I filled his room with a bunch of balloons while he slept, so when he got out of bed, he was so excited to see a ton of balloons!  After playing with the balloons for a few minutes, we ran downstairs to open presents!  He loved it.  He would open one and play with it for a while, then move on to the next.  He got a digital camera for kids that he thinks is pretty cool.  Beats playing with my old broken one!  Rob bought him a race car track, which they have played with so much.  A few other gifts to be opened, then we had doughnuts for breakfast.  His choice, specifically a doughnut with sprinkles.  He opted to stay at home to play rather than eat at the doughnut shop.  We let him decide what to do during the day and he asked to go to the library, then to have lunch at Bee's Creek (a little grill in our neighborhood).  Rob took some time off work to join us.  After naps, our family came over for pizza and cupcakes.  I took Ryan to pick out some birthday party supplies, and he picked out Thomas the Train.  It was such a fun day, and we look forward to his birthday party with friends this weekend (it is a couple of weeks late, but I couldn't get the place closer to his actual birthday).
