Updates : 2 months and more fun!

Lillian is now 2 1/2 months old. How the time flies by. She is generally happy as long as you aren't holding her in the wrong position, she isn't hungry, wet, tired, or bored. She offers lots and lots of smiles when talked to and she coos a lot. She is still waking 2 times to eat at night, and only takes 1 really decent nap during the day, but will cat nap a couple of times. I have her napping while Ryan naps, which allows me time to get things done around the house. That has been a positive change. She HATES her car seat. Hate might not be a strong enough word actually. The only time she tolerates it, is if the car or stroller is moving. I am prepared for meltdowns when I take her places in it. Thank goodness she likes the Baby Bjorn.

Ryan is talking more and more and putting together 3 word sentences. He is getting more into imaginary play. Just this morning, we were sitting at his table when he placed a stuffed kitty and a stuffed bear in the 2 open chairs. Then, while we were completing a puzzle, he took the bear's paw and put it on the puzzle piece as he placed it in the correct location. He was "pretending" the bear was doing the puzzle. He is really into play doh and that keeps him very busy while I cook. I found a play doh recipe that uses jello mix, so it is colored and smells great! Ryan tasted it one day and based on his reaction it doesn't taste good.

The summer is flying by so far. Ryan is scheduled for a couple of week long camps in July. This Thursday I am taking both kids to the pediatrician for Ryan's 2 year appointment and Lillian's 2 month appointment. Don't worry, I am bringing back up. Ryan won't be getting shots, but he hates the doctor. (side note: when our pediatrician came to the hospital to check on Lilly, Ryan happened to be there and started screaming when he walked in. Poor guy. Our pediatrician doesn't even administer his shots). Lillian will, however, be receiving her first round of vaccinations. I sure hope she tolerates them ok.

Ryan will be the BIG 2 a week from tomorrow. How did that happen?????? Stay tuned for pictures of his birthday.....

Ryan climbed on the chair to sit next to his sister. He loves holding her hand. When she is crying in the car (see above car seat explanation) he will always reach over and hold her hand. So sweet.
